Demand Justice!

Born Reality (Lost Souls III)

I walk the confines

Of my enclosure

Not looking – but seein’

Not listening – but hearin’

Not talking – but speakin’

To the lost souls

Of generations before me

And the generations lost with me

And to the generation who have

Come after me

And transverse the maze

Of disillusionment

Of dreams shattered

And watch – as the

Madness of hopelessness

Takes hold

Tightenin’ its grip

And squeezin’ the remainin’ life

Out of those

Who would be doctors

Who would be lawyers

Who would be scientists

Who would be teachers

Who would be community leaders

Those whom society has

Turned its back on

To die the death of dreams

Entombed in this nightmare

Of Hell’s prisons

Marked by the number of the Beast

Seemingly destined

To float forever more

In the sea

Of the world’s forgotten

Flower, Power(ful) Peace

Eye see

Trees that don’t lose their green

Beautiful flowers that never seem to

Flower - (Into)
Power – (Eye)

Never understood the thing

When we were catching

            Beatings more powerful than bee

                        Stings

Lynching – y’all(!)

People’s         Kill’n’

Folk

Do’n things that make runn’n around buck naked

Aspirations seem naïve

Un’clothe like Adam and

Eve                 - Brought the worst things

Ghost made flesh

Hurling fire looking pumpkins

At my

Kith and kin did nothing

But scream    - And

Holler              - And

Oh Lord Jesus – Why

God protect us – Oh me, Oh my

People never really had a chance

For

Peace left us

In

Pieces

Even when the X’s said

Know thyself

Defend every Woman

                        Child

                        Mom

Ye                    Be

The cream of the crop

That gets chop’d

But Black is heavy

Guess all that melanine (me’el’nine)

Makes it hard to rise to the top

Especially when

We pop-pop

The best and the brightest

Darkest          to

Lightest

(You not a nigga)       you      B

Not      this

(You not a nigga)       you      B

Not      that

(You not a nigga)       you      B

Black              like

                        the Original

Un-like

Those who invented lucky charm

Ce’real

Fo’real (tho!)

Eye see trees that don’t lose their green

Beautiful flowers that never seem to

Flower                        -           into

Power

Instead

We tend to

Devour our own

That’s what makes this

A sadass

Poem!

Peace y’all!

True Radiance

When I feel

The sun on my skin

I feel

Born again

Like

Water baptism

Like

A whole new funky rhythm

Like

I send’em

Positive vibez and energy

For my people no matter what

They do to me

I hear ignorance is bliss       – I don’t know

I was never stupid enough

About it                                   - though

I haven’t been in the sun a while

So I let the sun shine within

Then

I begin to let the light radiate

Vibrate

Until

I am the sun itself by all I

Am felt

My burn’n light push back the shadows

Even though I may cause darkness

But

That is a part of this

                        Legacy

U.N.I.Verse

To build this dream of…

Well I don’t

Dream

I exist therefore I am

Supreme with the knowledge

Apply the match

Construct what I must

To see a better today

                        Tomorrow

As the sun

(Eye never) set

His.story is

Pre-sent

Cause we

Descend into that which

Is not of us, but

As the sun

Eye never set

Determined to guide and direct

All who aspire to feel

The rays of the sun upon

Their skin

To bask in the glow

Of this radiant baptism
